2015年7月14日晚上，一则试衣间的不雅视频在微博热传，很多人以为是厂商的广告。然而当网友打开视频时，不禁惊呆了，视频中，一对青年男女在服装店试衣间内半赤裸性爱。随后“三里屯优衣库试衣间爱爱的”消息在微信朋友圈里疯传，并且还附有不堪入目的照片。不雅视频长达1分11秒，视频中男女还有对话，只是对话过于模糊，很难听清楚，不过视频中的位置以及试衣间外面的声音可以确定此事发生在北京三里屯优衣库试衣间。而之后又曝出疑似女主角与闺蜜的微信对话，对话中女主角否认和男主角是情侣关系，两人只是初次见面，聊了会儿天！视频开始是在微信朋友圈流传，之后迅速在微博广泛传播，网友对此议论纷纷，而视频中男女主角的微博也疑似被人曝光。由于事涉不雅，微博上相关的视频与微博段子已被平台方删除，话题也没有上微博热搜榜。该事件在网上发酵迅速，并且有多位微博段子手第一时间参与，疑似优衣库为推销某全新产品的网络营销行为。
